Brilliant Futures™ Myopia Management Program with MiSight® 1 day Contact Lenses Now Available at Hōkūʻula Eyecare

Kamuela, Hawai’i – Hōkūʻula Eyecare announced that it is offering the Brilliant Futures™ Myopia Management Program with MiSight® 1 day contact lenses. These are first and only soft contact lenses designed for myopia control and FDA-approved* to slow myopia progression in children, aged 8-12 at initiation of treatment.†¹

“When we learned about the Brilliant Futures™ Myopia Management Program, we immediately wanted to offer it in our practice,” stated Lori Kim, O.D.. “Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is increasing at an alarming rate, especially among school-aged children.² We believe that this program, which utilizes the MiSight® 1 day contact lenses, is going to have a large impact on our age-appropriate patients.”

CooperVision’s research into the effectiveness of the MiSight® 1 day contact lenses included a multi-year study that enrolled 144 children with myopia, aged 8-12, from Singapore, Canada, the United Kingdom and Portugal.³ After 3 years, the data showed that the contact lenses were proven to slow myopia progression by 59% on average.³ After 6 years, nearly one in four eyes originally fit with MiSight® 1 day had no progression of myopia.**4

“We are proud to be one of the first in the area offering this revolutionary approach to myopia management,” commented Dr. Kim.
